About Craft Club
The Singing Elf is a Social Enterprise that offers singing and creative activities that support the wellbeing of those in our local community. Our Craft Club is born out of The Singfulness Project which launched during the pandemic, providing simple, fun, low-cost activities that bring a smile and moments of calm to people of all ages, the ideal way to take some time out for yourself or keep the whole family entertained.
Our Craft Club involves in-person sessions and online access to resources.
In person sessions
Our in person sessions will be a way for you to do some hands on crafting with advice and tuition in various crafts. We are holding adult sessions that will be drop in with a different craft every time as well as craft courses where we build on a crafting skill over a 3-4 weeks. These will be held at Pittington Village Community Hall, Framwellgate Moor Youth & Community Centre and Lynn Jordison House in Belmont.
We are also taking Craft Club on tour to different organisations and community groups to share some of our crafting activities with you. If you run or know of an organisation that would enjoy some of our sessions then please email the team at firstname.lastname@example.org
During the pandemic, we developed The Singfulness Community to help people 'do what makes their heart sing' even when we couldn't sing together. We created thousands of craft packs for our local community, bursting full of ways to get creative and take mindful moments to bring a little calm. The feedback from our packs was incredible, with many people telling us how getting creative had really helped their wellbeing during this difficult time.
And so Craft Club was born! A FREE online club for anyone where you will get:
- monthly emails full of crafting ideas and free resources
- invitations to our in-person sessions in Durham & Sunderland
- the chance to connect with us on Social Media
