Pop & Prosecco is back! Now taking place every fortnight, our popular social sing-a-long is the ideal way to start the weekend with our usual mix of pop music, friendship and fizz.

This summer we'll be looking at some of the best-known, feel-good and upbeat hits from the nineties, noughties and now, starting on Friday 5th June with Happy (from the popular family film Despicable Me 2).

The Singing Elf - Rebecca McGarvie will bring the pop, teaching the songs with optional harmony parts. You just need to pour yourself a drink of your choice, whether it be a glass of bubbly or a warm cuppa. The session is open to all and you don’t need any previous experience. Pop & Prosecco is aimed at adults, but children are welcome to accompany you.

TICKETS: From £1 for you & anyone else in your household who wants to join via your device. You are welcome to contribute more if you wish.

What's it all about?
At this difficult time we know that it’s more important than ever to have the chance to connect with others, lift our spirits and forget our troubles just for a short while. Just like our normal events, our online sessions offer laughter, escapism and friendship. You will be able to see and hear Rebecca teaching you the songs and see other people singing along from home. There’ll be the chance to chat in between singing and join in with a pop quiz. It’s not possible to hear everyone singing together due to the time delay, so you’ll be able to sing your heart out without anyone else hearing. You’ll have full control of your sound & video so if you don’t want to be seen or heard you can just watch if you want to.

How does it work?
This is a live digital session, you can log on from any location via any mobile device, laptop or computer with an internet connection. It’s quick & easy to download the free Zoom app we will be using. Don’t worry if you’re not very techy - we’ll provide full instructions and guide you through the process. To take part you just need to be able to hear sound from your device, a camera to be seen and microphone to be heard. If you’re using a mobile device or laptop these are often built-in features. We recommend wearing headphones if you can.

How do I log on?
Step One: Purchase your ticket here
Step Two:  You’ll receive a ticket from our box office, which will contain your Zoom link
Step Three: From approximately 20 minutes before the session starts, click on the link in the ticket to access the session.  The link will only work for the duration of the live session. When you click on the link the Zoom app will automatically download on a computer or laptop and if you’re on a phone you’ll be prompted to download it from your app store.

Who can take part?
The session is open to all, you don’t need any previous experience. Pop & Prosecco is aimed at adults but children are welcome to accompany you on the call along with anyone in your household. With this in mind, we ask everyone to use appropriate language at all times and to be mindful of what can be seen or heard from your device. It’s worth letting others in your home know that you’re taking part in a live session so you don’t get interrupted. We know younger singers are keen to join in with our new online programme and are working to create family-friendly daytime sessions.
