You can count on us to raise your spirits in this online singing session as part of The Singfulness Project. ‘We’ll bee okay together’ celebrates heart-warming, feel-good songs that remind you that we are all in this together, bring a feeling of calm and leave you with a smile. This session is funded by Durham AAP and free to attend but donations to support the project are always welcome.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
This online singing session is part of The Singfulness Project, a brand-new programme of creative activities to energise your body, stimulate your mind and soothe your soul. These sessions are especially designed to focus our attention to a moment in time, centre our energies, bring a feeling of calm, a connection with ourselves and a sense of peace. Each session will follow a different theme, exploring heart-warming songs that will help you escape from the world for a short while.
CAN PEOPLE HEAR ME SING?
Just like all our online singing sessions, you don’t need any previous experience, everyone is welcome from complete beginners to veteran singers. Due to the time delay on Zoom, it’s not possible for us to hear everyone singing together. Your mic will be muted whilst you’re singing so you’ll be able to sing your heart out without anyone else hearing. Some people prefer to stay off camera, you’ll have full control of your mic and camera so can choose what’s comfortable for you.
WHAT IS THE SINGFULNESS PROJECT?
The Singfulness Project is a programme of activities to help you ‘find your happy’ and do what makes your heart sing this summer. Thanks to funding from Durham Area Action Partnership, The Singing Elf is able to offer free online singing sessions along with a wide range of creative online resources and home activity packs. We know that everyone is different and what might work for you, might not work for someone else. So you can choose from a wide range of activities from singing to crafts, cooking to puzzles, photography to knitting and gardening to yoga – there’s something for everyone!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This is a live digital session, you can log on from any location via any mobile device, laptop or computer with an internet connection. It’s quick & easy to download the free Zoom app we will be using. Don’t worry if you’re not very techie – we’ll provide full instructions and guide you through the process. To take part you just need to be able to hear sound from your device, a camera to be seen and microphone to be heard. If you’re using a mobile device or laptop these are often built-in features.
