Join The Singing Elf & friends for a relaxed morning of singing music from our favourite festive films in the super Christmassy surroundings of Ushaw. All levels of experience welcome, from seasoned carollers to beginners along with accompanied young people aged 12+

Make a day of it!

Ushaw invites you to 'Light Up Your Christmas' with a jam packed festive programme. Wander the building to enjoy the 'Christmas Tree Festival', featuring over 100 trees, view the 'Inside-Out' light installation, illuminating 24 windows and neon sculptures, purchase a hand-made gift from local creative artisans and indulge in delicious festive treats from the Divines Tearoom in the Refectory. Vocal tutor Rebecca McGarvie will lead a relaxed singing workshop featuring music from favourite festive movies, ending with an informal performance in the Refectory. All levels of experience welcome, from seasoned carollers to beginners. Christmas jumpers welcomed!

Songs will include the much loved 'Walking in the Air' from The Snowman, 'Carol of the Bells' from Home Alone and of course, the must loved 'White Christmas'. Registration opens at 9.30am and our singing will start at 10am with a cuppa & cake provided during our late morning break. Our session will end with an informal performance in Ushaw's magnificent Refectory. Christmas jumpers & festive cheer are welcomed!
